ITINERARY

Arrival in Croatia (Pula airport) and transfer to your accommodation in Rovinj. (Transfer included.)

Istria is the largest peninsula in Croatia, located on the very west part of Croatia. It looks like a triangle (see map on the left) and is a very popular destination for tourist and travellers due to it’s close vicinity to Italy, Slovenia and Austria, as well as it’s large coastline, full of small and larger bays with hundred of places and villages offering tourist services. Interior of Istria peninsula is also very attractive, with numerous small towns built on top of the hills around Istria. Upon arrival, check into the hotel and spend your time relaxing or exploring.

In the evening, join the rest of our travel group for a welcome dinner in local restaurant.

In the morning proceed to Pula sightseeing.

On the south of Istria is Pula. Take a walking tour of its magnificent Roman monuments, which include the immense Amphitheatre with its grand stone arches, Arch of the Sergii and the Temple of Augustus, one of the finest Roman temples outside Italy.

The highlight of the day will be exclusive truffle dinner in Motovun, a city-monument, an ancient Istrian acropolis city situated on the top of a 277 meter-high hill whose current appearance originates from the Middle Ages, the 12th and 13th century and very famous region for truffle hunting. Motovun is a charming little city with spectacular landscape including the Motovun Forest, a prime locale for truffle-hunting. We will proceed to a local authentic restaurant for the most famous truffle specialties. Locals will pair best Istrian wine with truffles specialties for most delicious experience.

NP PLITVICE LAKES TOUR

In the morning departure to Šibenik, a gem in the Croatian Adriatic, situated along the mouth of Krka on the most picturesque part of the eastern Adriatic coast. As the oldest Croatian autochthonous town, it was first mentioned in 1066 during the reign of the Croatian King Kresimir IV. The rich cultural and historical heritage of the city is visible in the impressive Cathedral of sv. Jakov [St. Jacob], built by the famous architect Juraj Dalmatinac and is under UNESCO protection. Numerous churches, monasteries, palaces and four fortresses ‘frame’ the city, and testify to the perseverance, renunciation and faith of generations of people of Šibenik. Explore the town with the local guide.

After sightseeing you will have lunch in traditional Dalmatian restaurant.

ŠIBENIK CITY TOUR WITH LUNCH

In the morning departure to Trogir, a very colorful city with a historic past and city under UNESCO protection. For more than 2300 years of existence, the city provides lovers of cultural and historical monuments, art, original architecture and cozy alleyway streets and unforgettable setting. The old core of Trogir is an island surrounded by city walls which has been influenced by the Romans, Greeks and Venetians. Explore Trogir with our local guide.

After Trogir, you will be hosted by local winemaker famous for Zinfandel production. On the tour you will see the production area and barrel room and you can taste the wine directly from fermentation tanks and of course from the bottles.

In the afternoon proceed to Split sightseeing. First, you’ll take a walking tour of the 1700-year-old Diocletian’s Palace in the heart of Split’s old town. You’ll wander the streets that became Meereen, the palace basements and Daenarys’ throne room. Next, departure to the mountain village of Klis, about 20 minutes outside Split. In this tiny village lies Klis Fortress, which stands tall on the end of a rocky cliff offering the absolute best view of Split, the Adriatic Sea and neighboring islands. Your guide will take you on a walking tour of the fortress, during which he’ll tell you about the Game of Thrones scenes that were filmed here as well as some of the local Croatian history.

TROGIR WALKING TOUR, SPLIT WALKING TOUR, ZINFANDEL WINE TASTING TOUR

In the morning embark on the private boats Hvar island. Upon arrival we will start our journey in Hvar and start our drive through the island. We will pass through old villages Brusje and Velo Grablje and through many lavender fields. Stop, breathe, enjoy. Go home to your vacation and decide to live a lavender life and put stress in distress. After this stress-free sightseeing we come towards di Agera (Hora) – protected field, one of Greek culture masterpieces which remained almost intact during a period of 2400 years. After this beautiful sightseeing we will drive further towards Jelsa where specially chosen winery is waiting for you. We are taking you to pure tradition – Duboković winery. Tradition, wine, cheese, bread will be served. You will also be able to enjoy in winery own produced olive oils with aroma. Try basilicum or sage flavored olive oil and decide to move to Hvar permanently. If this is not possible, you can buy vines or olive oils to take with you as a memory to enjoy in coldish autumn nights. At the end you will have dinner in local restaurant.

HVAR BOAT TOUR, HVAR ISLAND WINE TOUR

After breakfast, depart for Dubrovnik, the one of the most beautiful islands in the world. On your way to Dubrovnik stop in Mali ston for oyster tasting. We start with a panoramic boat ride on a wooden boat through the Bay of Mali Ston all the way down to the oyster beds. Learn about the cultivation of oysters dating back to Austro-Hungarians.

In the early morning proceed to Dubrovnik sightseeing.
