Welcome to Ireland! Arrive at Dublin Airport and locate your driver guide for the transfer to the hotel. (Note: Flights can be self-arranged or with the assistance of Travel Leaders. Flight schedules should then be relayed to Travel Leaders so that we may coordinate the transfers.)

  • Arrive at your hotel and check in. Time to relax or explore.
  • Meet with your guide and other group members at an informal reception before dinner. Time to go over some trip details and get to know one another.
  • Our first group dinner will be at the hotel this evening. (Included)

    Visit Clonmacnoice. Founded by St. Ciarán in the mid-6th century on the eastern bank of the River Shannon. The site includes the ruin of a cathedral, 7 churches (10th to 13th century), 2 round towers, 3 high crosses and the largest collection of Early Christian graveslabs in Western Europe. The original high crosses and a selection of graveslabs are on display in the visitor center.

  • Tour the Circuit of Connemara:
    Visit Kylemore Abbey which is set in the heart of the Connemara mountains. The story of Kylemore – both Castle and Abbey – is a truly remarkable one. The twists of fate which its occupants experienced, from moments of romance and happiness, to sadness and courage have all combined to create a fascinating history spanning over 150 years. Kylemore is home to a community of nuns of the Benedictine Order who came here in 1920 after their abbey in Ypres, Belgium was destroyed in World War I. Settling at Kylemore, the Benedictine Community opened a world renowned boarding school for girls and began restoring the Abbey, Gothic Church and Victorian Walled Garden to their former glory.

  • Tour to Killarney:
    Visit the Cliffs of Moher The Cliffs of Moher are one of Ireland’s top Visitor attractions and are a designated UNESCO Geo Park. The Cliffs are 214m high at the highest point and range for 8 kilometers over the Atlantic Ocean on the western seaboard of County Clare. From the Cliffs one can see the Aran Islands, Galway Bay, as well as The Twelve Pins, the Maum Turk Mountains in Connemara and Loop Head to the South.
    Travel through the Burren National Park:
    Famous for its Lunar-like Limestone landscape and its unique flora. About 20 species of Orchids grow wild here.
    Take the Shannon Ferry crossing:
    Shannon Ferry will take you and your vehicle on this memorable 20 minute journey across the estuary linking the iconic tourist destinations of the Banner County of Clare to the Kingdom of Kerry. This is a lovely experience for visitors who would like a short break in their journey to relax as they sail across the majestic Shannon Estuary. And if you’re lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of the dolphins, which in the summer can sometimes swim so near the ferry, as if just to entertain you.

    The coach will make several stops on the Ring of Kerry, for photos, lunch, etc.

  • Check out of the hotel and depart for the city of Cork.
  • Tour to Cork:
    Visit Blarney Castle, built in 1446 as a defensive fortress. The Castle which stands today is in fact the keep of a much larger fortress. All visitors should kiss the famous Blarney Stone, high up on the Castle battlements. Tradition holds that those who kiss the Blarney Stone will be endowed with the gift of eloquence – “the gift of the gab” as the locals call it.
    Visit the Old Jameson Distillery in Dublin Come and experience our Jameson Distillery Dublin tour and let our expert guides take you back in time as they lead you through the fascinating story of Jameson Whiskey. All visitors receive a signature Jameson drink, and volunteers are selected to partake in a whiskey tasting where each person receives a certificate.
    Then you head for a group pub dinner and music. The South County pub is in the village of Douglas. This Village is now part of suburban Cork but the pub still has the old village atmosphere and you can listen to live music from locals while you dine. Plenty of opportunity to mingle with the locals also. (Included)

  • Tour to Dublin:
    Visit the Rock of Cashel. A spectacular group of Medieval buildings set on an outcrop of limestone, including a round tower, Romanesque chapel, cathedral and restored hall of the Vicar’s Choral.
    Visit Kilkenny Castle. A 12th century castle remodeled in Victorian times and set in extensive parklands which was the principal seat of the Butler family, Marquesses and Dukes of Ormonde. Due to major restoration works, the central block now includes a library, drawing room, and bedrooms decorated in 1830s splendour, as well as the beautiful Long Gallery.

    Today is fee to enjoy the sights, the sounds, the food and the festivities that make St. Patrick’s Day in Dublin so special. Visit the pubs and celebrate with the locals. Enjoy the world-renowned Dublin St. Patrick’s Day Parade, which is within walking distance of our hotel. This is an amazing Bucket List kind of day for many.

  • Dublin City Tour:
    Meet a local Step-On guide for a panoramic tour of Dublin City. We will visit the Library at Trinity College, one of the world’s great research libraries, holding the largest collection of manuscripts and printed books in Ireland. Since 1801 it has had the right to claim a free copy of all British and Irish publications and has a stock of nearly 3 million volumes housed in a total of eight buildings.
    Visit the Treasury and see a display of Irish medieval gospel manuscripts, principally the Book of Kells which contains a Latin text of the four gospels copied and decorated by Irish monks around the year 800 AD.
    Visit Christ Church Cathedral. The cathedral was begun in 1038 by King Sitric Silkenbeard, the Danish Viking King of Dublin, and is officially claimed as the seat of both the Church of Ireland and Roman Catholic archbishops of Dublin. Contained in the cathedral is the reputed tomb of Strongbow, a medieval NormanWelsh peer and warlord who came to Ireland at the request of King Diarmuid MacMorrough, and whose arrival marked the beginning of English involvement in Ireland.
    Visit the Guinness Storehouse. The Storehouse was originally built in 1904 to house the Guinness fermentation process. The core of the building is modeled on a giant pint glass. The tour takes you step by step through the brewing process, finishing at the Gravity Bar where you will receive a complimentary pint of Guinness whilst enjoying the panoramic views over Dublin city.
  • Dinner & Irish Evening at the Merry Ploughboys pub Widely regarded as the best traditional music show in Dublin. A highly entertaining performance of live traditional Irish Music, Song and Irish Dancing. The very best of fresh Irish food is served from our restaurant which offers a choice menu. (Included)
