Mazatlan/ Costa De Oro/ Deer Island/ Pueblo Bonito

We started off our 3rd day in paradise by having a great breakfast and doing a site inspection at the Costa De Oro. This hotel is just a few blocks from the El Cid Castilla. It is a 2 star property, but they do offer 1 bedroom suites that are overlooking the ocean. The breakfast was amazing – the French toast was probably some of the best I have ever had!!

We then headed over to the marina located at the El Cid Marina to board a boat and head to Deer Island for the day. On Deer island you can do some kayaking, take a banana boat ride, snorkel, play beach volleyball or just relax in the sun. On the way over to Deer Island we took a short ride along the coast to take in some amazing views. While on the boat we saw a pod of dolphins jumping and playing around. It’s always fun to see them while out on the water. The kids on the boat was all so happy! For the adults on board, it is open bar and they play good music! J We had a great day and I would recommend it to anyone traveling to Mazatlan.

We got back to the El Cid Castilla to get ready for the evening. Our first stop was a site inspection at the Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay. This is such a beautiful resort 5 star resort that is great for families and adults. It does seem to be more of a romantic resort but there were a lot of kids present.  You can also use the facilities at the sister-hotel called Pueblo Bonito Mazatlan, there is a shuttle between the 2 and the Mazatlan one has the better beach.

We had dinner at Lo Costa Marinera. It’s a A Mexican/ Seafood restaurant that is right on the beach. Here, we watched the beautiful sunset while eating dinner. I will try and let the pictures do justice to what we ate there! All I can say is that I will be going back! J
