Oh Denver, are you sure you’re a city?

No mistake here – Denver is a city, duh. But, it doesn’t feel like one. Every corner, street and bridge seem to be it’s own neighborhood. With my brother living downtown, there weren’t many pedestrians walking around on a Sunday; but then again, there aren’t many homes downtown either. We strolled along the river and watched dogs play in the shallow areas, locals tubing down a small stretch before eagarly hopping out to do it again and many people just enjoying the views in the sun or shade with a good book. Breakfast, with a bellini, of course was an amazing crab-cake sandwich at Mona’s. The only positive part about our REI shopping adventure and being late-risers is that you don’t have to fight through the thralls of brunch-goers if you don’t arrive until 1PM and breakfast is served all day! After checking all our necessities off our list; good reading material, camping pillow, towel sham, head lamp, caribeener, etc… (ick, I hate camping), I think we were ready :/ One more nice dinner with good food and wine, we were headed to the desert!.
