Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel, Copenhagen

A beautiful view into downtown Copenhagen from room 1930 at Radisson Blu Scandinavia

Our 3 night stay in Copenhagen would be at the 4-star Radisson Blue Scandinavia. The hotel was about a 15 minute ride from the airport and a short 10-15 minute walk into the city. This is a 100% non-smoking facility but they do offer a little smoking room outside for guests to use. The hotel offers 4 restaurants and 3 bars, and I have to say the food was very good. The hotel currently is home to the only casino in Copenhagen but note they do have a cover charge to enter (if you have the Copenhagen Card it will give you free access). We took in a tour of the hotel that included the conference and meeting rooms, very nice set up and so much natural light! They also have a program called “Brain Food” – an interesting concept in meetings – lighter meals a fun type of  “thinking” room, this would be a great hotel for a corporate conference/meeting. The hotel also offers a spa and fitness center.

Our rooms were in the business class section of the hotel, boasting higher-floors with great views of the city, a Nespresso® coffee machine (GREAT coffee!),  free pay-per-view movies and access to the business lounge. I was welcomed to my room with a fun little welcome “letter” and a little tray of goodies that included a juice mixture, mixed nuts, and a wonderful chocolate treat!

Although I think it would have been really nice to stay in the center of town, the walk into town was an easy 10 minute walk for us, although cold in January! I would certainly have no problems recommending this hotel.
