Melissa visits Disneyland 2015
In November 2015, I was able to revisit Disneyland in Southern California. I attended the annual EarMarked Conference. It’s every bit as magical as I had remembered from just a few years ago. I stayed at the Disneyland Hotel, and got to visit Paradise Pier and also Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. So many magical things about these resorts!!
DISNEYLAND HOTEL: This hotel houses some of the best heritage and history of Disney. I loved the rooms here, they are spacious and modern. You can flip a fun little switch on the lamp that makes your headboard light up with twinkle lights and plays a lovely little melody. I loved the location, actually, I loved the location of all the onsite resorts. The pool at the Disneyland Hotel is probably the best of the three, you can see photos below.
PARADISE PIER: Great hotel, also in a really nice location. I love the theme of this one, like you stepped off the boardwalk and into the surfing land. Even the Christmas tree in the lobby was themed like surfing. This is another location you can do a character meal. Surfs Up with Mickey and friends. Looked yummy to me!!
GRAND CALIFORNIAN HOTEL & SPA: Some people don’t know that you can literally walk into the park from this hotel. I guess you could say you were staying ‘in’ the park if you stay here. Sort of!!! Loved the up-North woodsy theme to this resort. And, the last time I was here, I had some spare time to enjoy the spa. Love it!!! Another gorgeous Christmas tree in the lobby, and we bumped into our Disney rep at this hotel. Frank is amazing and we love him!!!
