Inside Scoop on Hemingway House ►

While exploring Cuba I had the opportunity to tour the Hemingway House. The Hemingway House in Cuba is located in a small, modest suburb of Havana named San Francisco de Paula it’s approximately 9 miles from the capital city. Ernest Hemingway purchased the Hemingway House in 1940. The house sits on a hilltop and is truly a living museum. The house remains exactly as Hemingway had left it before committing suicide.

Hemingway had very high regard for his staff. The staff stayed on board as staff for the museum. His personal staff authenticated the stories you hear when touring his home. Hemingway had developed close relationships with his staff. He even willed his boat to captain, but captain said it belonged with the museum.

When visiting the Cuba The Hemingway house is a stop you won’t want to miss. If you would like to hear more about my visit to Cuba I would be happy to share and help you plan your own adventure. You can see more pictures from my trip to Cuba if you visit my Facebook Page.
