While in Ireland are you planning to visit Westport? 

There are plenty of reasons to do it – great hiking and biking trails (hike to the top of St. Patrick’s Mountain for a great view of the Atlantic), play some golf, or visit the Pirate Adventure Park.  

Westport is also the stepping off place for the great 5-hour Connemara Pub Tour.  You’ll be driven through scenic valleys and quaint villages to visit four of the region’s iconic pubs.  Have a pint of Guinness or other local brews and try some traditional pub favorites like seafood chowder, boxty (meat filled potato pancakes), and coddle (stewed bacon, potatoes and onions).
