Creepy Capuchin Catacombs of Palermo, Italy

The capital of the Italian island of Sicily boast of culture, diverse markets & antiquities. The most intriguing you won’t find on the tourist attraction lists. I would surely include it on my client’s itinerary.

Home to the largest collection of mummies in the world the Capuchin Catacombs house @8000 mummified bodies scattered here with many creepily hanging on the walls

In the dark depths of this obscure catacomb in an open casket lie the remains of a 2-year old girl named Rosalie Lombardo. She died in 1920 tragically due to complications of pneumonia. Her grief-stricken father sought the aid of an embalmer. His secret formula has made Rosalie one of the Earth’s best-preserved mummies. A formula so perfect that her internal organs are still intact a century later.

Her skin still smooth & her golden hair tied back in a large silk bow. The best part…many swear she can still open her eyes! Let’s go check it out!
