Delicious Quick-Service Find at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
I’m not knocking the hot dog fans out there (I’m one myself actually), but Walt Disney World definitely has stepped up their game when it comes to speedy service and good quality choices. Quick-service defines their version of ‘fast food’ in which you order your menu items, receive your tray with your meal, pay the cashier, and choose your table of choice.
Because of the volume of customers these restaurants serve daily it’s not like walking into a fast food restaurant and having 60 menu items to choose from. I have been impressed however with the options they do provide. There’s usually a handful of choices for adults and a few separate choices for children ages 3-9 at each restaurant. There is now an assortment of gluten-free and allergy-friendly options to choose from as well.
There’s a wide variety of different types of quick-service restaurants that include everything from wraps and pitas, burrito bowls, pizza, and salads. And not to fear, you can always find a burger and fries!
My new favorite find is the Baked Macaroni & Cheese with Pulled Pork. And to make it even more mouth-watering it’s topped with onion rings and coleslaw. The combination of flavors (including tangy bbq sauce) and textures makes this meal taste out of this world!
This new fave can be found at Disney’s Animal Kingdom at Flame Tree Barbeque quick-service restaurant. It’s located between the Tree of Life and DinoLand U.S.A. Seating is located in a pavilion surrounded by woods and a view of Discovery Island Stage for some added musical entertainment!
This meal (and a beverage) counts as one quick-service option from your Disney Dine Plan.
I topped my meal off by stopping at a snack cart right outside Flame Tree Barbeque (heading towards the Tree of Life) and treated myself to a chocolate covered frozen banana. WOW. Very refreshing, especially on a hot day! This qualifies as one snack option from your Disney Dine Plan.
No matter what you’re craving you will find it at Walt Disney World!
