Ohana … Hawaii is for Families

I recently had the pleasure of traveling to Hawaii with my family.  I have been many times but it has been about 5 years since we last visited.  I’m so happy that we made it back!  I traveled with my husband and three teenage sons.  We also met my parents in Kauai.  This vacation experience really reminded me why Hawaii is such an awesome destination for multi-generational families.  There is so much to see and do together as a family.

Hawaii also has a great selection of properties from high end resort style properties with hotel rooms to beautiful condos with full kitchens.  This makes staying together as a family easy. Everyone has their own space but you are able to come together for special events.

Each family had their own vehicles so we could start the day out together and by mid afternoon we could split up if we wanted to either head back to the resort to hang out by the pool or keep boogie boarding in the ocean.

We would meet up again in the evening for dinner together at one of the beautiful Hawaiian restaurants on the island. There is so much to see and do in Hawaii and the feeling of Ohana (family) is woven into the island experience.

If you have a special celebration coming up or your just looking for a beautiful family friendly destination I would highly recommend Hawaii.  Whether it’s surfing, zip lining, sightseeing, sailing, fishing, kayaking, hiking, relaxing, photography or simply enjoying your family Hawaii has something for you!
