Destination Wedding Bride Packing Tips
What to Pack as a Bride:
Congratulations! You have decided to embark on a destination wedding! I am sure there are so many things that are spinning around in your head from the destination to the whether to the photographer. I have compiled a little list that will hopefully help you out for your big day!!!!
Aside from the typical documents and packing gear, such as drivers license, cash, phone and charger, here is a list of things that you want to think about and maybe add to the packing list!!!
Destination Wedding Packing List For Brides:
IMPORTANT ITEMS
- Passport/Drivers License (double check expiration dates)
- Wedding Rings
- Wedding Dress & Veil and Tux/Suit
- Wedding Day Shoes
- Photo copies of all documentation (passports, drivers licenses, etc)
- Airplane tickets, itinerary and boarding passes
- Credit Cards (don’t forget to obtain your PIN number prior to departure) & cash
- Camera and charger
- Cell phone and charger
- Extra memory cards
WEDDING DAY ITEMS
- Guest favors or welcome kits/packages/bags
- Wedding night lingerie
- Wedding day jewelry
- Something old, new, borrowed and blue
- MP3 player or iPod with loaded music for reception and back up wedding music
- Your vows
- Change of shoes/flip flops for reception
- Garter
- Programs or daily itineraries
- Seating place cards if you plan to use them
- Guest Book or ideas here: Pinterest
- Unity Candle or ideas here: Pinterest
- Ring bearer & flower girl accessories (pillow/basket)
- One of your invitations for the photography
PERSONAL ITEMS
- Nail polish, remover, nail file and clippers
- Tweezers
- Shaving cream and razors
- Brush & comb
- Deodorant
- Toothbrush and toothpaste
- Sunscreen and aloe/aftersun lotion
- Bugspray or lotion
- Sunglasses
- Reading Glasses
- Extra contact lenses
HAIR/MAKEUP
- Makeup (foundation, blush, eyeliner, mascara, etc)
- Makeup brushes
- Moisturizer
- Makeup remover
- Face cleanser
- Hairspray & gel
- Curling iron or straightener/flat iron
PAPERWORK
- List of all vendors you are working with and contact info
- Photocopies of all contract info
- Proof of payments made to vendors
- Photocopies of any prescriptions or health insurance cards
- Trip Insurance, purchase it and bring copies of documents
- Phone number to the closest US Embassy if traveling outside the USA
- Marriage certificate if you had your legal ceremony at home
EXTRAS
- Gift for the Groom
- Gifts for the parents
- Gifts for the bridesmaids
- Scissors, ribbon and tape for last minute projects
- Safety pins
- Travel sewing kit
